COVID Causes Suspension of Free In-Person Workshop

OneVision offers monthly Homebuyer Education Workshops in Orlando, but the classes are suspended at this time because of COVID concerns.

The classes will resume when the COVID crisis is over. There will be an announcement when that happens and people interested in learning more about the path to homeownership can sign-up here.

This HUD-approved course includes instruction in the financial and practical aspects of buying and maintaining a home, along with learning the advantages and disadvantages to homeownership. The consumer will also learn about credit report review, creating a budget, debt-to-income ratios, and what loan programs or down payment assistance programs are available in the community.

An overview of Predatory Lending, Foreclosure Scams, and Closing documents required for closing a loan are also taught in this homebuyer education class. Certificates are provided upon completion of the class and can be used towards the NSP (Neighborhood Stabilization Program) and First Time Homebuyer’s Down Payment assistance programs.

When the coast is clear and classes resume, OneVision workshops will be held on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Central Florida area at 5750 Major Blvd, Suite 320, Orlando, Florida 32819.
